Microsoft defines SharePoint

This definition is from a Microsoft white paper on Web 2.0.  It is an excellent summary of what SharePoint is.

" SharePoint Products and Technologies comprises Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
