Social Computing, also known as Web 2.0, is based on creating or recreating social conventions and social contexts online through the use of software and technology. Microsoft's social computing tools are delivered as part of the collaboration infrastructure and integrated by design with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 to help reduce costs and complexity while improving privacy and security.
